Michelin Motorcycle Tires announced a local Rochester, N.Y. resident as the winner of the 2008 Ride On! Sweepstakes.
Gerry Green, a retiree, is the lucky winner of a one-of-a-kind 2008 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® motorcycle that features eye-popping paint by Hot Rod Grafixxx along with more that $5,000 worth of Harley-Davidson genuine accessories, and of course, MICHELIN® Commander® motorcycle tires.
The Michelin Motorcycle Tires Ride On! Sweepstakes ran from March 2008 to August 2008 and thousands of entries were received. The bike traveled on the Michelin Motorcycle Tour Truck with stops at Daytona, Myrtle Beach and Sturgis bike weeks and ended the tour with the 105 Rides event in Milwaukee that celebrated Harley-Davidson’s 105th anniversary. Entries were accepted by registering on the tour truck, online at MichelinMotorcycle.com and via mail.
“I still can’t believe that I am the winner of this beautiful bike,” said Green. “I was on MichelinMotorcycle.com one night and saw the entry form to register to win the motorcycle. I registered and thought no more about it until I received a call from Danny Gilreath with Michelin notifying me that I was the winner.”
“It was great having the unique 2008 Harley-Davidson Road Glide motorcycle on the Michelin Motorcycle Tour Truck this year,” said Vickie Johnson, vice president of Two Wheel, Michelin North America. “It was very exciting to give this bike to a motorcycle enthusiast such as Mr. Green.”
Michelin delivered the Harley-Davidson motorcycle to the Cycle Stop in Rochester where owner Gary Schreib hosted a winner’s party for Green. Danny Gilreath, Michelin sales account manager, and the Michelin Man presented the keys to Green.
